Because the Quest X10 offers the most important features for searching, but doesn't overwhelm beginners with the numerous setting options of more expensive detectors, it's easy to use and particularly recommended for beginners. With its adjustable rod length from 80 to 130 cm and a low weight of 950 g, or 850 g if the middle rod section is omitted, it's also ideal for young treasure hunters.

The discrimination option allows the detector to ignore certain conductivity ranges, for example, by blocking out iron signals so that you're not constantly digging up old nails. Furthermore, the automatic ground balance ensures that the detector isn't affected by interference from natural mineralization in the ground, allowing you to focus entirely on your treasures. With the pinpoint function, once a signal has been detected, you can quickly pinpoint the exact location of the object, allowing you to surface your first treasures without extensive digging.

The search coil is completely waterproof, and the control unit is splash-proof, making it resistant to precipitation. The built-in battery provides approximately 30 hours of runtime and is easily recharged via the included USB cable, eliminating the need for regular battery purchases. A special feature of the X10 is its coil illumination, which, together with the display's backlight, provides the necessary visibility when searching at dusk.

Differences between X10 and X10 Pro

The X10 Pro was launched in August 2021. Its biggest innovation is undoubtedly its waterproofness to a depth of 3 meters. To alert you to objects underwater, the X10 Pro features a vibration alarm. Furthermore, the micro-USB and 3.5 mm headphone jacks have been replaced with a modern USB Type-C port. Instead of Blade, Raptor, and Beast search coils, the X10 Pro supports the newer BladeX, RaptorX, and BeastX coils. These innovations make the X10 Pro arguably the most complete entry-level detector on the market.

Differences between X5 and X10

In addition to all the features of the X5, the X10 features a backlit display and offers five different tones for metal detection instead of two. The discrimination options are also more precisely adjustable, with 10 segments instead of five. There's also a threshold function that uses a continuous tone to better detect even the smallest finds when the tone breaks off. The X10's three search modes have been supplemented by an individually adjustable custom search mode.
