The Midi Hoard is a durable detector and is waterproof up to 1 m underwater. This allows your little adventurer to safely search the beach and promenade. The Mini Hoard features an armrest for added comfort when swinging the detector back and forth, a stand that keeps the Mini Hoard stable when stored away, a telescopic rod that can be adjusted to a length of 82 to 109 cm, and an 18 cm/7" search coil including a coil protector. At 15 kHz, the search coil offers an ideal search depth for children ages 8 to 12.

Easy to use

The Midi Hoard is very easy to operate with its 3 buttons. The right button turns the detector on and off and turns iron discrimination on and off. The middle button is the pinpoint function for pinpointing the exact location of an object. The clear display uses symbols to indicate what type of object may be buried underground. For example, the left block indicates whether a nail, screw, or horseshoe (iron objects) is present; the middle block indicates whether a coin, ring, pull-tab, or aluminum foil is present; and the right block indicates whether a coin, beer mat, or pull-tab is present. You can also read the object's depth in 3 segments, and the battery indicator lets you see whether the 2 AA batteries are full or half full and whether they need to be replaced. The Midi Hoard has 2 volume settings and 3 sensitivity/depth settings.

If you choose the Mini Hoard Cool Kit, you'll also receive a small plastic hand spade and a sieve for beach hunting. Various stickers are also included to customize the detector for boys and girls. To introduce your children to the hobby in a fun way, you'll also receive four treasure markers if you choose the Cool Kit.
